Simple question – “How to make money fast online?”, simple answer – you can’t! Outside of using “Craiglist.com” and “EBay.com” as an advertising platform, much like print newspaper classifieds of old, to sell your old bicycle, car, old DVDs, furniture, etc., there is no – “make some money fast” online. What I mean by fast is a day or two up to a week. If someone states that you can make a lot of money in a short time, run. It’s either a scam or illegal.
Different Ways To Earn Money Online
There are several legitimate ways to earn money online ranging from surveys to affiliate marketing. Let’s look at surveys first. It doesn’t seem too hard a task. Create an account profile with what some consider to be private information, confirm your email and voila – you are ready for your first survey. You also got a free $5 for joining. You start taking survey after survey and begin to realize that you are only making $1 to $2 an hour! Not a very lucrative option. I have to laugh at myself in embarrassment because I’ve actually done them.
Here are some survey sites… just in case you are interested!?!

These are just a few of the more popular sites out there. I have to be honest here. I’ve read a lot of other posts promoting survey sites as a way to earn extra money. Yes, they are legitimate and yes they do pay money but, you would be better off getting a part-time job at minimum wage. Just saying!
Another avenue to earn money online that peaked my interest is website testing. I have only read reviews and checked out the sites but, it looks to be quite lucrative. One site is “UserTesting”. The site states that you can make “up to $60 an hour”. There’s that magic phrase… “up to”. I don’t mean to sound pessimistic but, advertisements always embellish! Another statement from the site: “Get $10 via PayPal for every 20-minute video you complete”. That’s $30 an hour – not bad. Here are some sites to check out.

I have read posts that promote rebate sites as a way to earn extra money. Wait!? What!? Yes, I know, doesn’t make much sense or cents! If you are in need of extra cash, it generally means you do not have money to spend. Saving money on things you already buy can seem like earning, I guess. But like surveys, you don’t make much. The person that thought up “Ebates” is earning some online cash. Gotta love the entrepreneurial spirit.

The Time Factor
What we have looked at so far is considered active income. This basically means trading the hours you have in a day for a wage. Most of us do this in our 9 to 5 jobs. We all have 24 hours in each day. On average, we are asleep 8 of those hours, have to bathe, eat, travel to our job, break for lunch, travel back home, eat supper, and finally relax. That leaves very few hours to trade for a wage or active income. What if there was a way to leverage your time and start creating passive income.
What do I mean? Passive income can be explained as income that is earned repeatedly or residual by something you have done once. This action or work never sleeps. It keeps generating income 24 hours a day whether you are asleep, eating dinner, or relaxing.
If you are thinking of earning an income online you need to adjust your mental processes. Active income can take care of the bills, hopefully for now but, passive income will empower you and help you thrive.
Affiliate marketing is where most of the passive income is made. Have you ever searched for a product on “Google”, found a review and were convinced to buy the product by the review, clicked on the product link in the review and ended up on Amazon. When you bought the product on Amazon, the reviewer received a commission. That reviewer is an “Amazon Affiliate”.
There are too many affiliate programs out there to number. Any large retailer has an affiliate program. Most small companies have affiliate programs as well. It’s much cheaper to pay a commission on a sale then to pay a lot for advertising. The affiliate does the advertising for them. In fact many large toy manufacturers are relying on the reviews of children for the sale of their toys.
Can anyone become an affiliate marketer? Where can I go to learn how? If you are serious about earning an income online then I urge you to continue reading.
